Paper Art for Sandy Relief

2012

In November 2012 I decided to make paper art that I could sell in time for the holidays, the proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts. I sold them online and through MCLA Gallery51's 99c and UP exhibition.

There were three pieces: The Seven Deadly Sins, People Crying #1, and People Laughing #1.

The Seven Deadly Sins - A seven-pane star accordion book in an homage to Hieronymus Bosch. The book measures approximately 2.5" x 2.5" closed, and 5" x 35" open. It is an open edition archivally printed on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper.

People Crying #1 - A waterfall card measuring approximately 4" x 5" with drawings of people crying from YouTube videos. It is an open edition card archivally printed on Moab Entrada 300 paper.

COSTS AND PROCEEDS
I donated all my proceeds (approximately $550) to Hurricane Sandy Relief after covering paper and basic printing costs.
